Work To Start On Kapiti Airport Business Park

The first stages of construction are expected to start soon on the new business park planned for Paraparaumu Airport land. An application has been lodged to commence earthworks for construction of a $12 million Mitre 10 Megastore. The store will be located adjacent to Kapiti Road on the eastern boundary (Shell Petrol Station end) and will include a garden centre. Developer Sir Noel Robertson hopes the store would be completed before the end of the year. This development is part of a larger scale modernisation programme planned for the Paraparaumu Airport land. The airport itself is undergoing an upgrade.

The new Mitre 10 Megastore and other developments are expected to bring much needed jobs to the Kapiti Coast and Paraparaumu in particular.  This will flow through to housing with increased demand for dwellings in central Paraparaumu and rental accomodation. Streets like Langdale Ave, Campbell Ave, Robert Grove, Ross Grove, Dennis Taylor Court and Guilford Drive are particularly handy and central.
