The Kapiti Coast north of Wellington stretches from the popular beach side town of Paekakariki in the south through to Otaki in the north. Paraparaumu is the main commercial hub of the Kapiti Coast and is where most Kapiti real estate agents are based (either at Paraparaumu or Paraparaumu Beach).

Popular towns along the Kapiti Coast include Raumati Beach just south of Paraparaumu Beach and Waikanae and Waikanae Beach to the north of Paraparaumu. There are several smaller communities along the Kapiti Coast including Otiahanga, Rekiorangi, Te Horo, Peka Peka, and not forgetting Raumati South.
